Getting to the Start
TRIATHLON
SATURDAY: November 30th, 2024
Transition Opens at 5:00AM
First wave scheduled for 6:55AM
Athletes get FREE PARKING at the The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay Guest Parking Lot.
There is also event parking back toward the path to the stables (details below).
IMPORTANT:
The race morning walk from parking to transition will take about 10 minutes in the dark. There will be flood lights placed intermittently along the way, but the trip will be more pleasant if you bring a flashlight or headlamp. Please allow yourself enough time to make that walk.
Participants will enter through the The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay main entrance. Continue into the resort to the four-way stop sign intersection. You’ll see signs to turn left for the Golf Shop and Beach Bungalows. Turn left here and continue straight on the paved road.
You’ll immediately pass the Golf Shop on the left and a little further, Beach Bungalows on the right. Continue straight through an open gate where the road will turn to gravel.
As soon as the road turns to gravel, the parking area will be on the mountain side (left side as you enter) of the road. Please pull fully off the gravel road and park in rows along the open space. You will be driving on the run course to get to event parking. All cars must be in the event parking area by 6:50am. If you arrive later than this, you can park in the The Ritz-Carlton O‘ahu, Turtle Bay public parking area by turning right at the four-way stop sign. Cars will be allowed to leave at 10:00a.
(Please use caution when leaving as there still might be some athletes on the course as you exit.)

From the parking area you will walk towards the stables. Continue on the path around the stables and keep heading towards Kawela Bay. You will see the trail fork a couple times, keep to the widest sections of the path unless marked otherwise.
When you get to the transition area please have your helmet on, race bib visible, and arms and calf exposed for body marking. Please wear all the stickers on the number sheet on the correct sports (e.g. Bike helmet sticker goes on the FRONT of the helmet). As you pass into transition you will get body-marked.
Your timing chip is inside your packet! Please do not forget it!
Relay team consists of a minimum of 2 or a maximum of 3 participants. Each participant does one discipline (swim, bike or run). In a team consisting of only 2 members, one participant must do two disciplines.
Each relay team gets 1 (one) timing chip. The timing chip must be handed over to the next team member and must be returned to the timer at the end of the race.
The transition area has open racking, set your space up anywhere you’d like. We’ve calculated for 6 bikes per rack.
Please be near the transition are at 6:15am for the athlete briefing. The briefing will take about 10 minutes then the transition area will be closed at 6:30a. We will be strictly enforcing the 6:30a closure of transition. Please make your way down to the swim area by that time.
